This is a monthly membership, where each week you will receive a short 15 minute audio of a somatic movement practice to help you reduce pain and tension. Cultivate ease by first noticing, then rewiring the movement habits that don't serve you. Listen to these as many times as you like.

This is a great way to connect to your body and keep things in check. It isn’t a class or a replacement for live practice. It’s a short, supportive pause you can return to anytime.

Somatic movement is done mostly on the floor, but sometimes done seated or standing. The movements are slow, gentle and done in a comfortable range.

We are all somas. We have a body, but there's an inner experience that's part of that, our feelings, emotions and our history. Only you know what it feels like to be in your body. Change doesn’t come from forcing or fixing. It comes from intentional awareness and slow, gentle movement — working at the level of the nervous system.

A live online somatics class each week (60 minutes), with recordings included (optional in-person attendance).

For July and August, this membership has been paused. Resumes in September.

Each month’s series includes:

  • One live somatics class per week (choose Thursday at 9:30 am ET or Saturday at 10:00 am ET); Each week’s class has the same content, so you can join whichever day fits your week.

  • Online experience, with optional in-person attendance if you’re local

  • Access to class recordings for personal replay and integration (for 60 days, as long as you still have a membership)

  • Monthly theme to give you a framework for exploring your body

The series is designed to support continuity and deeper learning. You can join month-to-month at your own pace. No prior experience is required.

NOTE: For new members, a short intake form is required. This helps me understand your needs so I can serve you better and make adjustments in my cueing. If needed, we can jump on a quick call to discuss your needs in more detail.

FAQs

How many classes are included each month?

One live class per week, with recordings for integration. Each month includes 4 classes.

Note: You may see “credits” referenced due to platform language. These simply represent your access to the weekly Somatic Shift classes for the month.

Can I switch between Thursday and Saturday?

Yes. Please specify the class that works best for you according to your schedule. I will register you into one of the classes automatically, but you can let me know if you need to change that.

How long do I have access to the recordings?

You have 60 days access to the recordings as long as you are an active member. BONUS: if you join now, you will have access to the previous month's recordings! (March's theme: Unlocking Tight Hips)

Each week you'll learn about the habitual movement patterns that are contributing to your issues and how to release them.

The movements are slow and gentle. You will be asked to move in your pain-free, easy range. Most of the time is spent on the floor, although sometimes we use a chair or stand. You'll learn a powerful technique called pandiculation which helps lengthen muscles (without stretching), thus reducing tightness and pain. 

You may be surprised at how these small, gentle movements can make such BIG changes. This will impact walking, running, yoga, sports... your life! Everyday movements such as bending over, climbing stairs, getting up off the floor and turning your head to reverse your car will be changed for the better.

If you practice these movements regularly, you will notice a cumulative effect, and you will feel less sore after doing sports or activities. Somatic movements can replace stretching — in fact it's more effective!

A private somatic movement package designed to help active adults reduce hip tightness so they can enjoy hiking, yoga, gardening, cycling and other activities with more ease.

Tight hips can interfere with every day life, including walking, climbing stairs, or getting in and out of your car. And of course if you're active, it can get in the way of doing what you love!

As we move through life, our nervous system naturally develops movement habits. Many of these are simply adaptations to everyday life: whether it's sitting long hours at a desk, having a busy job, doing sports, or just daily stress. Other habits may develop due to injuries, surgeries, or accidents. Whatever their origin, these habits may eventually no longer serve us.

With awareness and practice, you can shift these movement habits and allow your tight hips to let go.

Includes one 75-minute assessment and three 60-minute private sessions and a custom home practice.
